Your privacy

In short: enquiry details are used to answer your request. They are not added to a marketing list. Newsletter emails are sent only when you use the separate signup form and actively consent.

Who handles your information

Cooking From Scratch is operated by Juanita de Atouguia, an independent, self-employed Thermomix® Advisor based in Fetcham, Leatherhead, Surrey. Juanita is the controller for information submitted through this site. Contact hello@cookingfromscratch.uk with a privacy question, rights request or request for postal correspondence.

What the forms collect

The enquiry form collects your name, email address, request type and consent. You may also provide a phone number, postcode area, preferred format and message. The newsletter form collects your email address, optional name, marketing consent and the date and source of that consent. Please do not include payment details, health records or other sensitive information.

Why it is used

Enquiry information is used because you asked for a reply, information or a demonstration, and may be used to take steps you request before an authorised purchase. Newsletter information is used only to send the Cooking From Scratch email newsletter from Juanita, including recipes, events, Thermomix news and offers, on the basis of your consent.

How it is handled

Cloudflare delivers the website, protects the forms with Turnstile and sends submissions to the advisor’s designated mailbox. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides privacy-first, aggregate information about page views, visits, referral sources and website performance without using cookies or collecting visitors’ personal data. Turnstile processes technical browser and request signals to distinguish people from automated abuse. Microsoft 365 may then process the message as the advisor’s email provider. The optional WhatsApp link opens WhatsApp with a draft message; if you choose to send it, WhatsApp and Meta process your contact and message information under their own privacy terms. Technical request information such as IP address and browser details may be processed for security and delivery. The website does not use advertising pixels. Google Analytics is loaded only if you choose ‘Accept analytics’; it then uses analytics cookies to measure visits, referral and campaign source, and interaction with the site. You can decline without affecting your use of the website.

Sharing and retention

Information is not sold. Enquiry information may be shared with Vorwerk UK Limited only where necessary for a demonstration, authorised order or support you request, and with providers supporting email, security and website delivery. Unsuccessful enquiries should be deleted after 12 months. Newsletter details and the consent record are kept while you remain subscribed. A minimal suppression record may be retained after you unsubscribe so that your choice can be respected.

Your choices

You may ask for access, correction, restriction or deletion of your information, or object to its use, by emailing hello@cookingfromscratch.uk. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time by replying to a newsletter or emailing that address. Juanita will stop sending marketing emails after an unsubscribe request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
